Bio:
When you love what you do, its never work! That’s certainly true for Amanda. She has worked as a veterinary nurse/practice manager for the past 25 years and couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
She spent her early life caring for all types of animals birds, cows, horses, cats, dogs and wildlife. After growing up on a farm and helping with the families beef cattle and horse rescue, it was a natural progression to take her love of animals from an interest to a career.
Her experience includes working in general practice clinics and emergency centers with both small and large animals. She is most passionate about emergency medicine, surgical nursing and behavior. Amanda is a dedicated leader and enjoys sharing her passion for gold standard nursing and mentoring our junior nurses.
She has a keen interest in animal behaviour and enrichment, which has led to furthering her education and also become head trainer at a local dog training business. She enjoys helping owners and their pets bond and build a lifelong, responsible partnership.
Outside of work she can be found at the family property training horses, at the gym or camping with her Australian Koolie Trick.
As practice manager Amanda aim’s to create an environment of growth and support where the team can flourish and excel doing what they love to do!
